Lannetta Louise LeRoy, 75, of Kansas City, Missouri, passed away on Friday, April 25, 2025, after an extended illness. She was born in Kansas City, Missouri to the late Clare and Opal (Poindexter) Mersman on May 21, 1949.
Lanetta attended High school in South Kansas City, and she worked in retail management most of her life. She worked for GEM, Venture and K-Mart in upper management. She then went into co-managing a flower shop, and then she worked in in-home care for elderly people.
She had a love of the outdoors, and her favorite hobbies and pastimes were horseback riding and trail rides. She loved to go to the Shawnee National Forest in lower Illinois with her Trail Riding Family.
She is survived by her Husband of 42, years Robert LeRoy of the home; sons Arthur Quigg of Kansas City, MO, James Quigg of Clinton, MO, Todd R. LeRoy of Colorado and daughter Michelle Kennedy of Stillwell, Kansas; 2 sisters Jo Ann Ross of Lee’s Summit, MO, and Sandra Brown of Bashor, KS, 1 brother-in-law, Ronald E. LeRoy of Kansas City, KS; she is also survived by 9 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
A memorial gathering to celebrate Lannetta's life will be Friday, May 3, 2025, from 10 AM until time of service at 11 AM at Park Lawn Funeral Home.
