Laura Anne Burnett

Laura Anne Burnett, 55, of Liberty, Missouri passed away unexpectedly on Monday, April 21st, 2025 at Liberty Hospital, Liberty, Missouri. Laura was born on July 21st, 1969 at North Kansas City Hospital, the daughter of Lewis and Cynthia Burnett. She was proceeded in death by her parents and grandparents.

Survivors include her son Joshua (Chastitey) Burnett, three grandsons, Braiden, Landon and Emerson of Kansas City, MO; sister Shelia Burnett of Liberty, MO; Aunts Shirley Ross of Orrick, MO, Leslyn Farmer of Richmond, MO and Becky (Tony) Warren of Kansas City, MO. She is also survived by numerous cousins.

Laura loved being outside, spending time with her precious grandsons, family and friends. She was always the first to volunteer to babysit any and all of the family’s numerous children. She loved her Mizzou Tigers, Kansas City Chiefs and Kansas City Royals.

She was a lifelong member of the United Methodist Church. Her faith was strong and although we will miss her dearly, she is now at peace and pain free.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Immune Deficiency Foundation or the KC Pet Project.

The funeral service will take place Saturday, April 26th, 2025 at Liberty United Methodist Church, Sunset Campus, 1001 Sunset Ave, Liberty, Missouri 64068. Visitation will be held from 1:00pm to 2:00pm followed immediately by the funeral at 2:00pm. Burial services will follow at South Point Cemetery in Orrick, Missouri.
