Linda Mae (Wahl) Turner, age 84, a resident of Kansas City, MO, passed away January 12, 2026, at American Home at Burlington Creek Senior Living Facility.

Mrs. Turner was born February 2, 1941, in Kansas City, MO, the daughter of Melvin Wahl and Lova (Teegarden) Wahl.

Linda spent her early childhood on small farms in Jackson County, Missouri. When she was twelve years old, her family moved to Independence, Missouri due to her father's poor health.

She began school in a small rural two room schoolhouse in 1946, with the rest of her schooling in the Lone Jack, Independence and Kansas City School systems. Linda graduated from Central High School in 1959.

Prior to Linda's senior year in high school, she married David Handley and they had one son, Dalin Lee Handley.

While in High School, Linda participated in the COE program, working for Macy's Department Store and the Muehlbach Hotel in Kansas City. Following High School, Linda worked for CMO Television and Radio Station, where she met Richard Turner. They were married in 1972, and she became the stepmother of his two daughters.

After her marriage to Mr. Turner, they relocated to Sacramento, CA where he had accepted a new job. Mr. Turner was very active in the golf community so, after their move to CA, they started a golf wholesale business, which they ran until 1994.

In 1994, Linda volunteered in the California State Legislature as a Legislative Assistant, which later became a fulltime position, from which she retired.

Linda was baptized as a youth and in 1990 recommitted herself to Jesus Christ and lived her life as a devoted Christian thereafter. She was a strong believer in the Pro-Life Movement and devoted many hours passing out information while standing on street corners in Sacramento.
