Loren Ray Jones

           Loren Ray Jones, 74, of Pleasant Valley, passed away peacefully on June 24, 2023, at Liberty Hospital with loved ones at his side.

          Loren was born November 14, 1948, in New Ulm, Minnesota, the youngest of five children of Edwin Griffith and Emma Ellen (Campbell) Jones.  Following high school graduation in New Ulm, Loren served in the US Army from 1968 to 1971 when he was honorably discharged as a Sergeant.  Loren worked as a Truck Driver for FedEx before retirement in 2013.

          Survivors include his wife, Diane; and sons, Jason (Carmen) of Lee’s Summit, MO, and Jeff of Holt, MO.  Loren was an incredible “Grandpa Jones” to Breann, Kylee, Jakob, Piper, Jonas, and Jay.  He also  leaves his brothers, Ernie (Shirley) and Eldon (Carol); twin sisters, Selma (Bob) and Velma; as well as nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.

          A celebration of life will be announced at a later date.  In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Wounded Warrior Project (support.woundedwarriorproject.org).
