   Loren W. Kennedy, 81, of Kansas City, Missouri, passed away on Friday, February 23, 2024, in Harrisonville, Missouri, surrounded by his family.  Visitation will be from 1-2 PM, with services immediately following at 2 PM, on Thursday, February 29, 2024 at Park Lawn Funeral Home, 8251 Hillcrest Rd, Kansas City, Missouri 64138.  Burial to follow services in Green Lawn Cemetery, Kansas City, Missouri.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be given in Loren’s memory to The American Heart Association or Parkinson’s Foundation.

   Loren was born on Friday, September 25, 1942, to Margaret “Maggie” (Kenchloe) and Lawrence Kennedy, in Mulberry, Kansas. He was a machine operator by trade.   Loren married the love of his life, Gilda A. Crutcher, on January 8, 1965, in Kansas City, Missouri.

   Loren’s hobbies included fishing, NASCAR, motorcycles, and vacationing (with or without his bike), to name a few.  He will be remembered for his sharp memory, grand story-telling, and how meticulously he kept his lawn; it was the best on the block!  Most importantly, Loren will be remembered as a family man.

    Loren is preceded in death by his parents and siblings Lawrence L. Kennedy, Calvin Craig Kennedy and Minola Mayes.  He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Gilda A. Kennedy; children Carmen Kennedy (Lee), Misty Flowers (Ricky) and Loren I. Kennedy (Sherrell); grandchildren: Taelor Jones, Moriah Jones, Ricky Flowers Jr., Mila Willis, Awbree Kennedy, and Isaac Kennedy; great-grandchildren Isabella Galvan and one on the way.  Loren is also survived by his sister, Loyce Poncil (Doug); and many nieces and nephews.  Arrangements entrusted to Park Lawn Funeral Home.
