Luevenuer (Rollie) Johnson was born on June 7th, 1936 in Postell, Arkansas to Coatney and May Ethel Rollie. She moved away from Arkansas and lived in several cities before moving to Kansas City, Missouri. She chose Kansas City to be close to her brothers Elmo and Dennis. She worked for Western Electric for ~18 years before moving to Tennessee with her Husband Stan. While in Tennessee she worked for JC Penney’s and attended Beautician School where she obtained her cosmetology license. After her husband retired, they moved back to Kansas City.
She gave her life to Christ at a young age. She attended many churches before making her final Church Home at Concord Fortress of Hope Church. What mattered to her most was her personal relationship with God, family, loved ones, self-respect and dignity. She prided herself with being a good wife, mother, sister, aunt, grandmother, friend and neighbor. She enjoyed traveling and fishing with her husband Stanley. Together they visited every state apart from Alaska. She was a warm soul that greeted everyone that she met with love and kindness. People felt her warmth and sincerity for life each time they spoke to her. She had a gentle voice that never seemed to waver, ears that seemed to never get tired of listening and a heart that was as big as the morning sun.
In addition to her parents and husband Stanley Johnson, Sr. of 32 years, she was preceded in death by brothers; Elmo Rollie and Dennis Rollie; sisters; Hazel Harris, Ruby McCain and Fannie Nickles.
She leaves to mourn a son, Alvin L. Ross and a stepson Stanley L. Johnson, Jr.; five grandchildren Satin, Ashley, Lawrence, Dajuan, and Ciera; six great-grandchildren; Lawrence, Serenity, Meagan, Zaide, Autumn Rose, and Nevaeh, a sister; Nevader Simes along with a host of nieces, nephews and friends whom she loved dearly.
