Maralus Marie Banks-Hay

Maralus Marie Banks-Hay (Doyle), 93, died peacefully on October 11, 2025. Maralus was born on October 4, 1932, in Windell, Idaho.

She met and married James C. Banks, and together they had 3 girls, Jamie Marie, Sandra Ann, and Julie Etta. She was a loving, giving, selfless mother and friend to all who knew her. She was a school bus driver for District 230 for 25 years. She enjoyed her Retirment with friends and family. She also loved working in her yard, spending time with family and friends working on large puzzles.

After James' passing, she married Wilbur Hay; they had a happy life together until his passing.

She is preceded in death by Father Fred, Mother Bertha, first husband James, Second husband Wilbur, 2 sisters June and Freda.

Maralus is survived by sister Jenny Wilson of Arkansas, brother Leon Doyle of Kansas, daughters Jamie McDonnor (Bill) of Arkansas, Sandra Sparks (Ralph) of Alabama, Julie Crowder (Joseph) of Kansas. She also has 7 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.

A visitation will be held October 20, 2025, at Park Lawn Funeral Home. 8251 Hillcrest. Kansas City, MO 64138, from 12-1pm followed by a service at 1, then the graveside service will follow.

Flowers are welcome, but donations made to the charity of your choice are also very much appreciated. The family suggests flowers be ordered from the Flower Man of Olathe, KS.
