Marie Elizabeth Lequillow, born on September 19, 1945, passed away on July 13, 2026.

Marie lived a life marked by her strong spirit, unwavering honesty, and unmistakable presence. Those who knew her will remember her as feisty and opinionated, never afraid to speak her mind.

Throughout her distinguished career, Marie found fulfillment as an HR Manager for numerous companies. Her commitment to people and remarkable ability to handle complex situations made her a trusted colleague.

Later in her professional journey, she took pride in serving as a security officer at Kansas City International Airport (MCI), where her keen sense of duty and vigilance were deeply appreciated.

Beyond her career, Marie found comfort and relaxation in the pages of romance novels. Reading was a beloved pastime, offering her moments of joy.

Above all else, her greatest sense of accomplishment and deepest source of pride was her family. Nothing brought her more joy than celebrating the generations that followed her. She delighted in telling everyone she met about the blessing of having four generations of her family together, a legacy she treasured beyond measure. Whether sharing stories of their history, celebrating their accomplishments, or simply speaking of the people she loved most, her face would light up with unmistakable pride. The legacy she leaves is not only found in the generations that follow her but in the values, traditions, and unconditional love she instilled in each of them.

Marie's memory will be cherished by all who had the privilege of her friendship and company. Her resilience, honesty, and zest for life serve as a reminder of the power and beauty of living fearlessly.

She will be deeply missed and warmly remembered by those who loved her.

Marie was preceded in death by her parents: Harold and Elizabeth (Skull) Brust; her former husband, Jesus Lequillow with whom she shared many wonderful years and a lifetime of cherished memories; and her sister, Margaret Psarianos.

She is survived by her siblings: Teresa Brust, Harold and (Mary) Brust, Dorothy and (Kenny) Pocaro; her daughters: Jennifer Fernandez, Elizabeth Jackman, and Nicole Lequillow; her grandchildren: Christopher and his wife: Nicole, Samantha, Emilee and her husband: Roman, Jaden, Adam, Joshua, Brianna, and J'nae; and her great grandchildren: Adrian, Ava-Marie, Axton, Marceline, Xiomara, and Jasmine; as well as numerous extended family and friends.
