Marilyn Marie
Foster
Sep 6, 1953 — Jul 15, 2026
Marilyn Marie Foster, 72, of Liberty, Missouri, passed away peacefully on July 15, 2026.
Marilyn was born on September 6, 1953, in Dallas, Texas, to C.W. and Will Ann (Skaer) Baugh. Raised in Texas, she later moved to Liberty, Missouri, as a young woman and made it her home.
Marilyn dedicated more than 45 years of service to the Smurfit Westrock Liberty Container Plant, where she worked in a variety of positions throughout her career. A proud Texan at heart, she remained a devoted Dallas Cowboys fan throughout her life. She also cheered for the Kansas City Chiefs—except when they were playing her beloved Cowboys.
Marilyn found joy in the simple pleasures of life. She loved gardening and preserving the fruits of her labor by canning vegetables. She enjoyed fishing from the boat at Truman Lake, watching NASCAR races, and spending time with those she loved.
She was preceded in death by her son, Tony.
Marilyn is survived by her beloved grandchildren: Melissa McCray (Brian), Dakota Crawford, Haley Van Bibber, Alex Van Bibber, and Alyssa Bell-Pique. She was also blessed with five great-grandchildren, who brought her much happiness.
She is further survived by her nieces and nephews, Stacy Liesche, Bryan Van Stratten, Dustin Baugh, A.J. Baugh; her sister: Barbara Vanstratten, and her brother, Kenneth Baugh, along with other family members and friends who will cherish her memory.
Marilyn will be remembered for her strong work ethic, her love for her family, her Texas pride, and the many memories she created with those who knew and loved her.
