Martha Bartlett

Martha Jane Bartlett, 81, of Kansas City, Missouri passed away peacefully in her home on June 2, 2025. She was born on June 12, 1943 to Louis Wamsher Sr. and Mary (Ogle) Wamsher.

Martha graduated from Paseo High School in 1961. She spent her career working for Montgomery Ward and GE Capital in customer service and human resources, where she made numerous lifelong friends.

Martha was the life of every party. Her love and laughter filled the hearts of everyone who knew her. No gathering was complete without Martha and her signature glass of wine! She had no strangers–her warm personality made people feel like family from the moment they met her.

Remaining to cherish Martha’s memory are sister: Mary Cline; brother: William Wamsher (Joy); brother-in-law: Richard Bartlett (Judy); children: Michael Bartlett (Carolyn), Mark Bartlett (Nancy), and Mitchell Bartlett (Tommy Bassett); grandchildren: Molly (Evan Boxberger), Zach (Emily), Tyler (Ashleigh Ficken), Allison (Mike Leger), Ellie (Latavia Young), Noah (Hannah), and Emilie (Ryan West); great grandchild: Ella Grace; many nieces and nephews, and countless friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband: Michael “Mick” Bartlett, sisters: Naomi Askew and Joanne Bogart, and brother: Louis Wamsher Jr.

A visitation will be held at Park Lawn Funeral Home at 11 a.m. on June 13th, 2025 with the funeral service starting at 1 p.m. and a gravesite service to follow.
