Michael Lee Bradford

           Michael Lee Bradford, 86, of Gladstone, MO, passed away August 3, 2023, at his home surrounded by family. 

          Michael was born in Gadsden, Alabama on April 23, 1937, the son of J.L. and Rosemary Bradford. He was united in marriage to Leona Jones on August 21, 1953.  He worked for Hudson Foods for 33 years, retiring as branch manager.  Michael was a member of Winnwood Baptist Church. 

          Michael was preceded in death by his parents, a sister Bettie Sosebee, a brother Ronald Bradford, a sister Linda Garner, and grandson, Phillip Steven Bradford. 

          Michael leaves his wife of 70 years, Leona; three sons and a daughter, Steve (Debbie), Randy (Teri), Wendy Quarles (Phil), Chris (Vicki); eight grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren. He also leaves a brother, David A. Bradford and numerous nieces and nephews.

          Michael was a beloved husband, father, and grandpa.  He and Leona loved to travel, and their goal was to visit every state which they accomplished two years ago.

          Visitation will be held from 6-8 pm Monday, August 7, at Park Lawn Northland Chapel, I-35 at State Route 291, Liberty, MO.  A service celebrating Michael’s life will be held at 2:30 pm Tuesday, August 8, at Park Lawn Northland Chapel.  Burial will follow at Terrace Park Cemetery. 

          In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Kansas City Hospice and Palliative Care.
