Michael Brent Erb Sr.

Michael Brent Erb Sr., 71, of Overland Park, Kansas, passed away on Friday, August 18, 2023 at his home surrounded by his family. Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 PM on Thursday, August 24, 2023 at Park Lawn Funeral Home, 8251 Hillcrest Rd. Kansas City, MO 64138. A visitation will be from 1:00 – 2:00 PM prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery in Kansas City, Missouri.

Michael was born on August 22, 1951 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Kansas City, Missouri to Eugene and Mary (Bales) Erb. He attended East High School in Kansas City. He was united in marriage to Sharon K. Leishing on October 9, 1971 in Kansas City, Missouri. She preceded him in death on September 19, 2014. Michael worked for 25 years as a welder for Price Brothers in Kansas City, Kansas before retiring as a truck driver for Highway Carriers in Kansas City, Kansas. He loved his family, guns, and cars.

Michael was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; and one granddaughter, Angel Erb. He is survived by his sons, Michael Erb Jr. and his wife Angela, and Jonathon Erb and his wife Cassaundra; grandchildren, Tanner, Nykolette, Jazmon, Christopher, Dakota, Destiny, Kya, and Cayden; Great grandson, Jaxz; and his brother, James Erb.
