Michael was born on January 9, 1968 in Independence, Missouri to Richard Newton and Barbara Jean (See) Brown. He was preceded in death by his parents, and brother Gary W. Shelton. He is survived by his wite, Frances Ann Shelton; sons, Michael W. Shelton and Gary M.E. Shelton; step sons, Michael D. Stone and Glen E. Stone Ill and his wife Ashton; 5 grandchildren; and his brother, Jack Shelton.
