Nancy Ann Whitt

          Nancy Ann Whitt, 76, of the Kansas City Northland, joined her Lord and Savior in her heavenly home on March 28, 2023. She passed away at NorthCare Hospice House surrounded by loved ones.

          Nancy was born January 1, 1947, in Kansas City, Missouri, the only child of Ola O. and Daisy Jewel (Williams) Ware. She was united in marriage to Donald Ray Whitt on February 1, 1969, at Tower View Baptist Church, with her uncle Richard DeMott officiating.   

Nancy graduated from North Kansas City High School in 1965 and received her bachelor’s degree in Education from the University of Missouri at Columbia. She later received her master’s degree in Education from UMKC. Her career as an Elementary teacher spanned 30 years in the North Kansas City school district, the last 17 years at Topping Elementary. Nancy was an active member of Pleasant Valley Baptist Church more than 40 years. 

Survivors include her husband of 54 years, Donald Whitt; son, Christopher Whitt; aunt, Mary Ann DeMott; numerous cousins, other family members and many friends.

Visitation will begin at 1:00 pm, followed by a service celebrating Nancy’s life at 2:00 pm, on Wednesday, May 3, at Pleasant Valley Baptist Church, 1600 North State Route 291, Liberty, Missouri.
