Norma Jeanne (McMillan) Baucom, born November 30, 1939, in Kansas City, Missouri, passed away at home in Independence, Missouri. She was 86 years old.
A lifelong resident of the Kansas City area, Norma‘s journey began in the heart of Kansas City and remained rooted in the area she loved. She graduated from Northeast High School in 1957, where she met her husband, Ronald Baucom. On Valentine’s Day 1958, he proposed, and on November 8, 1958, they married at the Oakley Methodist Church in Kansas City, Missouri.
Norma dedicated her professional years to Interstate Securities, Elko Photo and Commerce Bank, she retired in 2001 in every role she held, she brought with her a quiet strength and unwavering commitment qualities that left a lasting impression on those who worked alongside her, leaving her with countless friends Norma and Ron loved to go camping and fishing with the family at the lake in Odessa or at the Lake of the Ozarks near Bridal Cave, Mo. She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother James McMillan, and her husband Ronald. Still, her memory lives on through her brother Paul and wife Roberta McMillian, her two daughters, LaRaine K Ullom, husband, Keith, and Ronda L Wingate, husband, Eric, seven grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren. May her memory bring comfort to those who knew her.
