Olin Evans Brown, Jr.

Olin Evans Brown, Jr., 61, of Kansas City, Missouri, was called home to heaven on August 11, 2025.

Born in Paterson, New Jersey on August 28, 1963, Olin was the son of Olin Evans and Mary N. (Howell) Brown, Sr. He attended Saint Michael’s Grade School and was a proud graduate of Don Bosco Prep High School. Olin continued his education at Northeastern University in Boston, Massachusetts.

Driven by a desire to help others, Olin dedicated many years to serving as a Certified Nurses Aid, providing compassionate care and support to those in need. In his leisure time, Olin found joy in listening to music and was a devoted fan of the Kansas City Royals and the Kansas City Chiefs. He also enjoyed watching a good basketball game. Staying active was important to Olin, who not only earned a black belt in Taekwondo but also excelled in competitions, winning many medals.

Olin was a faithful member of Holy Family Catholic Church in Kansas City North.

He was preceded in death by his father, Olin E. Brown, Sr. Olin is survived by his beloved daughter, Raven, and his loving mother, Mary N. Brown, both of Kansas City. He is also survived by his sisters, Nillaja Ledford of Charlotte, North Carolina, Dr. Eurnestine Brown of Cambridge, Massachusetts, and Dawn Brown of Charlotte, North Carolina. Also mourning his loss are his nephew, Chase Brown of Cambridge, Massachusetts, Ajara Ledford of Austin, Texas, and Alice Page of Michigan.
