Patricia Louise (Lyons) Gerstner passed away November 29, 2023, in Riverside, MO.

Patricia was born in Kansas City, MO to Thomas and Alberta (Fuller) Lyons on August 31, 1945.  She graduated from Westport High School in 1963.  Patricia met the love of her life, Milton, and after a memorable first date at the movies seeing Mutiny on the Bounty, she knew she had met her soulmate.  They married on February 12, 1966.  Together, they lived in Village of Oaks, MO where they raised their three children, Andrew, Katherine, and Patrick.

Patricia was a devoted wife and mother for many years, staying home with the kids until they reached middle school age.  She then began working at the Juvenile Court of Jackson County and later at the Social Security office until she retired.  After a brief retirement, she decided to go back to work a few times.  She worked as a kitchen aide at St. Therese’s Catholic School and then back at the SSA office.

Patricia loved her family, her friends, Norm Stewart and the Missouri Tigers.  She and Milton enjoyed being on the lake, traveling, going to the casino, and making every person feel like they were family.  She loved bragging about her grandchildren and their successes.

Patricia was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Milton, her parents, her brother, Thomas, and her beloved pet, Bogart.

Patricia is survived by her children, Andrew, Katherine (Soldanels) and Patrick (and Pepper) Gerstner; her sister, Margaret Lyons and brother, James “Jim” (and Debby) Lyons; her six grandchildren, Alyson, Taylor, and Evan Gerstner, Ryan and Rebecca Soldanels and Kobie Gerstner.   As well as her extended family consisting of nieces, nephews, sisters and brothers-in-law, cousins, and friends she considered family. She will be dearly missed by her loved ones.

The family wishes to extend our sincere thanks to the Villages of Jackson Creek, the Sunshine Place at Riverside Nursing and Rehab and Harbor Hospice for the care they gave Patricia.
