Patrick “Pat” Albert Jobes passed away peacefully at his Independence, MO home on June 28, 2026, surrounded by his loved ones. He was born August 7, 1940, to William Elmo and Lillie Mae (Hendricks) Jobes in Moundsville, West Virginia. His family moved to the Greater Kansas City area when he was six years old.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Elmo and Mae Jobes; son, John Bradley Jobes; granddaughter, Rebekah Amelia Borque; and brother, Bill Jobes.

He is survived by his loving wife, Elaine; their son, Daniel “Dan” Jobes (Julie), their daughter, Dana Borque (Juan), grandchildren; Taylor Jobes (Amanda), Tucker Jobes (Megan), Frank Forrest, Natalie Jaramillo, Chea Manley, Emily Hoagland (Dominick), Geoffrey Borque (Abigail), great grandchildren; Haylie Forrest, Matthew Manley, Harrison Jobes, Aubrey Forrest, Ethan Jobes, McKenna Jobes, Adriana Jaramillo, Gus Jaramillo, Lyla Mae Hoagland, Clara Hoagland, Jack Jobes, Isaiah Borque, Noah Hoagland, Matthew Borque.

Pat was a 1958 graduate of Central High School in Kansas City, Mo. On June 13, 1958, he was united in marriage to his high school sweetheart, Frances “Elaine” Colter, in Independence, MO. The Lord blessed them with 68 years of marriage.

Pat spent most of his working career at KCP&L as a Lineman/Splicer, but for the last 14 years he was part of their Training Department, teaching Basic Electricity and other related classes. He retired on July 1,1999, with 37 years of service, then contracted with KCP&L until February 2001. He was also a Master Electrician.

After retirement, he used his electrical skills volunteering in the Assemblies of God ministry, US MAPS RV Volunteers, now known as Church Mobilization-RV Volunteers. He traveled in his RV, along with his wife, to assigned projects, helping build either new or renovating churches, working at church campgrounds or Teen Challenge campuses doing the electrical portion for 14+ years until his health began to fail and he had a diagnosis of Leukemia. Other interests over the years were downhill skiing, camping, hiking, and backpacking, mostly in Colorado.

For the last 44 years, he faithfully attended and served at his church, Central Assembly/Crown Pointe Church. He was especially known for the way he praised and worshiped the Lord so freely. He asked Jesus Christ into his life at the age of 37 and never turned back. The greatest desire he had and prayed for was that every family member would commit their life to Jesus Christ and serve him faithfully.

He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend. He will be greatly missed, but grateful his body is free from pain and that he is now in the presence of his Lord and Savior praising the Lord as he did so well here on earth.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday July 18, 2026, at Crown Pointe Church, 5950 NE Lakewood Way, Lees Summit, MO, 64064. Visitation will be from 10:00-12:00 followed by the funeral service at 12:00. Interment at Brooking Cemetery, 10004 E 53rd St. Raytown, MO 64133
