Peggy Jean Ledgerwood Ratterree, 78, died unexpectedly, but peacefully on Oct 10, 2026. 

Peggy was born on March 7, 1948, in Kansas City to Thomas and Bernice Ratterree. She graduated from Northeast high school in 

1965. 

Peggy married Micheal, her high school sweetheart in 1968. They made a life for themselves in their hometown for over 58 years, 

The couple was blessed with 2 children. 

Her children remember her as a kind, gentle, patient, driven, and loving mother who encouraged them to pursue their goals. 

She was a generous and dedicated individual who loved to travel and was very passionate about seeing the world.

Peggy is survived by her husband Micheal Lee Ledgerwood of Raytown MO., brothers Criag Ratterree of Independence, Mo., 

 Pat Ratterree of Independence, MO., Sons Sean Micheal Ledgerwood (Daughter in-law Shannon Kay Ledgerwood) of Raytown 

MO. Timothy Thomas Ledgerwood of Kansas City, Mo., Grandchildren Andrea Renae Ledgerwood 

of Raytown, Mo. Ashlyn Michelle Ledgerwood of  Raytown, Mo. Great Grandchild Journey Kay LeClair of Raytown, MO., and many other relatives 

and friends.

Services will be held on Wednesday, October 28, 2026.  Visitation is scheduled for 10:00 AM, immediately followed by a Memorial 

Service at 11:00 AM.  All are welcome to attend and celebrate Peggy’s life.

The family would like to thank the hospital staff for their care and dedication.
