Randal Lee Finley

          Randal Lee Finley, 59, of Liberty, MO, passed away unexpectedly on March 8, 2023, at Liberty Hospital with family at his side.

          Randy was born November 23, 1963, in North Kansas City, MO, the youngest of three children of Wallace Eli Finley, Jr. and Catherine Ann (Melies) Finley.  His parents preceded him in death.  He grew up in Liberty and graduated from Liberty High School in 1982. Randy was united in marriage to his soulmate Kristy on May 19, 1988, and they are blessed with two daughters and three grandchildren.  His four- decade career as a Service Technician/ Field Trainer began with GCS Service, Inc. and finally for Smart Care Equipment Solutions. 

          Survivors include his wife of 34 years, Kristy; daughters, Jen Allen (Matt) and Kaley West; grandchildren, Hartlee, Finley, and Wade; sisters, Sharon Phillips (Marty) and Linda “Susie” Clark (Bob); nieces and nephews, Ryan, Jen, Shawn, Chana, Monica, Bobby, Tyler, Melissa and Clint, and their families; as well as other family members and many friends.

          Randy enjoyed spending time with his family and he especially loved the great outdoors. Randy enjoyed the small things about life most notably grilling for his family. Randy loved all and everyone loved Randy.

          Visitation will begin at 4:00 pm, followed by a service celebrating Randy’s life at 5:00 pm, on Monday, March 20, at Park Lawn Northland Chapel, I-35 at State Route 291, Liberty, MO. To honor Randy’s wishes please wear casual attire (red shirts and jeans were his favorite).

          In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to St. Jude Children’s Hospital (stjude.org) or remembering Randy’s love of anything outdoors, you might consider having a tree planted in his name (see link on his obituary at www.parklawnfunerals.com).
