Ricky DeWayne King, 59, passed away peacefully May 7, 2026. Ricky was born in Caney, KS to Ruby Darlene King. He grew up in Oklahoma and Arkansas before moving to the Kansas City area.

As a young man Ricky started working in the concrete industry. A man that took pride in his work Richy spent many years working for Cochran Concrete. He helped lay the foundations for countless homes, businesses, and the roads leaving a lasting, solid mark on the world around him.

Beyond his hard work, Ricky cherished the cherished the simple pleasures in life. He was rarely seen without his faithful companion, Cowboy, his Blue Heeler who was a source of friendship and fun. An outdoorsman, Ricky found his peace in the stillness of nature—whether he was hunting, fishing, or spending time at the gun range.

Ricky was preceded in death by his mother, Ruby, and we take comfort in knowing they are reunited. He leaves behind a legacy of love in his daughter, Lindsay King, and his precious granddaughter, Layla, who were truly the light of his life.
