Robert "Bo" Rickert Jr.

Robert (Bo) Earl Rickert Jr. 7/1/1949-4/30/2025. Bo was born in Kansas City, MO. His parents, Robert and Louise Rickert had three children, Joyce (who passed away at age 26 from childhood diabetes complications), Bo and Vida Robson. 

Bo grew up in Kansas City and graduated from Southeast high school. It's there where he met Paula Wineland and they welcomed a daughter, Rendi (Rickert) Sheppard (Scott Sheppard). Bo helped his father with their moving business, White Brothers Moving Company. Eventually, Bo became an over the road truck driver. His childhood was very busy as he worked hard and became an Eagle Scout. He also took dance lessons with his sisters and apparently was quite the tap dancer and tumbler. After graduating high school, Bo decided to join the Navy Reserves as an airplane mechanic on the USS Ticonderoga. He was active in the Vietnam War for a short period until he was called home to his dying sister, Joyce. Bo also had another daughter in 1986, Lacey Rickert (Garry Ward). His daughters gave him 2 grandsons, Maxwell Meyer (26) and Harrison Ward (4). He was blessed with 2 bonus granddaughters, Kelsie Harper and Whitney Sheppard and two bonus great granddaughters, Isabella Harper and Scarlett Harper. In addition to his children and grandchildren, Bo was blessed with nieces and nephews from his sister, Vida. Vida's daughter Jennifer (Matt) Oberweather was very close to Bo, along with her children Colby (29), Camden (24), Cason (16) and Callie (14).

Bo's life took a turn in 1998 when he was in a motorcycle accident and suffered a brain injury which left him disabled. He still managed to reconnect with an old love and married his 4th wife, Mary Anne. They were happily married for 23 years until her passing in 2023. Bo was loved by so many, and he will be missed every day. He's dancing in heaven with those who passed before him...Louise, Earl, Joyce and his nephew John Craig (nephew).
