Roberta J. Roberson

Roberta J. Roberson, 85, of Kansas City, MO, passed away on Sunday, July 13, 2025, at North Kansas City Hospital. She was born on May 24, 1940, in Sedalia, MO, to Robert and Alma (Lewis) Janssen.

Roberta began her career at the Ford Motor Company's Claycomo Plant, initially on the assembly line before becoming the Shipping and Receiving Clerk. She was a dedicated member of the Ford Motor Company United Autoworkers Union.

Beyond her professional life, Roberta was a woman of many talents and hobbies. Her eye for detail shone through in her various crafts. She had exceptional skills in sewing, particularly enjoying making quilts for loved ones and military veterans retiring from the Ford UAW. Roberta was also a gifted painter, adding her personal touch to everything from ceramics and pictures to Christmas ornaments. Additionally, she found joy in creating stained glass windows and beautiful flower arrangements that brightened any room.

Roberta was preceded in death by her parents, her son Richard Roberson, Jr., her grandson Jacob Roberson, and her siblings Helen Troncin and Bill Janssen.

She is lovingly remembered by her partner of 45 years, Don Lehman, and her daughter, Robin Curfman (Lyle). Roberta leaves behind her grandchildren Justine Roberson, Jonathan Roberson, Trenity Taylor (Tristan Harter), Crystal Keller, and Sherrie Baldus. She was also a loving great-grandmother to Faith and Olivia Roberson, Theodore and Tatum Harter, and Granger and Harper Curfman.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, July 17, 2025, from 4-6 pm, followed by a time to share memories at 6 pm at Park Lawn Northland Chapel, located at 1640 Route 291 Highway, Liberty, MO 64068.

Roberta will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who knew and loved her.
