Ronald Lee Evans, 84 of Riverside, Missouri passed away peacefully on May 2, 2026, at the North Care Hospice House, North Kansas City, MO.
He was born on August 25, 1941, in St. Joseph, Missouri, Ron was the beloved son of Howard and Wilma Evans. He spent a happy childhood in Willow Brook and graduated from Faucet Missouri High School in 1959. Ronnie continued his education at St. Joseph Junior College and Northwest Missouri State before serving his country in the U.S. Navy aboard the USS Halsey Powell during the Vietnam War.
Following his military service, Ron dedicated many years to a career with Trans World Airlines (TWA) in both St. Louis and Kansas City. Those who knew him knew he had unwavering loyalty to the St. Louis Cardinals he was truly a "diehard" fan through every season. His laugh and sense of humor was infectious.
Ron was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Larry Evans and his brother in law Steve Fisher. He leaves behind a family who will miss him dearly, including his sisters, Kay Evans Fisher and Linda Evans Searcy (and her husband Terry), as well as his nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends who knew him as "Ronzo".
Graveside services to celebrate Ron's Life will be held 2:30pm, Wednesday, June 3, 2026 at the Leavenworth National Cemetery, 150 Muncie Road, Leavenworth, KS 6604. Please arrive 15 minutes early.

Graveside services will be held 2:30pm, Wednesday, June 3, 2026 at the Leavenworth National Cemetery, 150 Muncie Road, Leavenworth, KS 6604. Please arrive 15 minutes early. Everyone will gather at the administration office and go to graveside together. You will see a designated sign indicating that all funeral processions should stop there.
