It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Rudolph “Rudy” H. Schmidt, who departed this life peacefully on June 20, 2026, at the age of 92. Born in Kansas City, Missouri, to Rudolph F. Schmidt and Margaret (Koontz) Schmidt, Rudy was a man dedicated to his family. After serving in the Navy, Rudy worked full-time while attending night classes at Rockhurst College, receiving his degree and going on to build a fulfilling career as a Distribution and Warehouse manager for a local agricultural business.

Beyond his professional life, Rudy had a passion for fishing, flower gardening, watching the Kansas City sports teams and visiting with friends over a cold beer. He will be remembered as a loving husband and father, instilling great values and work ethic to those around him.

Rudy was preceded in death by his parents, sisters Mary and Madeline, son Larry and his loving wife of 67 years, Mary Margaret. He is survived by his children, Kathy (Jon), Robert (Ronda) and Cindy (Jeff); his 6 grandchildren; and his 9 great-grandchildren.
