Sharon Colleen Rife

Sharon Colleen Rife of Liberty, Missouri, beloved mother and aunt, passed away peacefully on October 10, 2025, at the age of 91.

She was born on November 4, 1933, in Junction City, Kansas, to Cecil and Pearl Law Mallon. Sharon was one of five children. She began working at the young age of 18, starting her professional life as a secretary in an attorney’s office in Salina, Kansas. She was particularly proud of her time working at Raytheon in Greenville, Texas, where she dedicated ten years of service.

Sharon married Glenn Maurice Rife and in 1956, they welcomed their daughter, Robin Colleen, in Topeka. Sharon and Robin were very close and enjoyed having fun together. When Robin was growing up, they frequently traveled, visiting many different states. One adventure was a trip to Denver, Colorado, which remains a special memory for Robin.

After retirement, Sharon moved to Liberty, Missouri to be closer to family. She was a very social person who treasured her many friendships throughout the years. She had a sharp mind and enjoyed crosswords, puzzles, and all sorts of card and board games.

Sharon was preceded in death by her husband Glenn, her two sisters, and her two brothers. She is survived by her daughter Robin, several nieces and nephews, and numerous other family and friends who will greatly miss her warmth, her smile, and her lively spirit.

A private family gathering will be held to celebrate her life.
