Shirley A. Johnson

Shirley Arlene Johnson, 74, of Oregon Missouri, passed away peacefully in her bed, at the Oregon Care Center on Sunday, August 31, 2025. 

Visitation and Service will be held at Park Lawn Funeral Home (8251 Hillcrest Rd. Kansas City, MO 64138) on Monday September 15th at begin at 11 AM followed by the service will 12:00 P.M. Friends and family are invited for lunch at Golden Corral (19120 E Valley View Parkway. Independence, MO 64055) at 1:30pm.

Born in Kansas City, Missouri, on March 1st 1951, Shirley attended Northeast High School and worked several jobs in accounting and customer service roles for many years. She loved her family most but also, all things beautiful and girly. She was known for collecting angels, porcelain dolls, flowers, and lots of family photos. She also had a love for the color Yellow, chocolate candies, and any sweets she could find. In September of 1972, she married the love of her life, Tom. They were married for 42 years and have reunited in Heaven at last.

Shirley’s survivors are her two children, A son, Steven (married to Deanna), and A daughter, Lorene (married to Albert). She was blessed with 7 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren with 1 more on the way. Surviving as well is Shirley’s older sister, Mary, and younger Brother, Curtis alongside several generations of nieces and nephews.

Shirley’s family will always remember her for her smile, her warm hugs, her sense of humor, and fearless approach to everything she did in life. She will forever be missed and remain in their hearts.
