Shirley M. Peck

Shirley Marita Peck, 94, passed away December 16, 2023.

Shirley was born October 31, 1929 in Wichita, Kansas to Leo Short and Thelma Belle (Poland) Short.  She graduated from Westport High School.  In 1949, she married Jerry Edgar Peck and were together for over 60 wonderful years.  Jerry and Shirley lived in their home in Overland Park, Kansas for 60 years.  Shirley worked at Cherokee United Super Grocery Store for decades.  She enjoyed art and was an amazing seamstress.  Shirley was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother.

Shirley was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Jerry Edgar Peck and her daughter Cheryl Floyd.  Survivors include her daughter Linda Swygard and her husband Ken; daughter Connie Provence; son Stuart Michael Peck and wife Gayla; ten grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; sister Patricia Ann McCollum; sister Karen Janice Stotts and son in law Rick Floyd.

Private burial in Memorial Park Cemetery in Kansas City, Missouri.
