Stephanie Lynn Kjenaas

Stephanie Lynn Kjenaas, 35, of Lees Summit, MO passed away on May 30, 2025 due to complications of Congenital Heart Disease. She is now dancing in eternity with our Lord Jesus Christ.

Stephanie was born in Sacramento, CA on April 10, 1990, she always considered herself a “California Girl”.

Stephanie is survived by her parents, David and Mary Kjenaas, her siblings and their spouses, Jason and Chassy Kjenaas, Lori and Brian Barry, Allan and Vanessa Kjenaas.

She was Auntie to Isaac, Peyton, Caleb, Hannah, Hunter, Summer, Autumn and Olivia. She also had numerous Aunts, Uncles and Cousins.

Stephanie also had a sister by birth, Chelsea Wisdom.

Stephanie graduated from Lees Summit West High School, class of 2009. She attended Longview College and Johnson County College. She had a dream to become a graphic artist.

Her family is heartbroken for she was our shining light. She was a gentle kind soul who had compassion and love for everyone.

Stephanies dogs were her constant companions and friends. Stephanie was preceded in death by her best friend who was always by her side, Brownie Boy. Her dog Honey is lost without her.

Stephanie loved ceramics, drawing, & painting. She loved playing games, movies, cooking, & knitting. Last summer she experienced the excitement of riding a SeaDoo and loved “going fast.” Food was also important to Stephanie. She would never turn down an opportunity to go out breakfast, lunch or dinner with family and friends.

Stephanie’s favorite thing to do was spending time with people. She loved her family and friends more than anything. She once wrote, “look deep into your heart, and that’s where you will find me.

She was laid to rest on June 11, 2025, at Park Lawn Funeral Home. 8251 Hillcrest Rd, Kansas City MO 64138
