It is with deep love and sadness that we announce the passing of Stephen Wayne Macpherson, who left us on October 18, 2025, in Liberty, Missouri.
Stephen was born June 25, 1963, in Gimli, Manitoba, Canada to Douglas and Geraldine (Fenton) Macpherson.
Steve was known for his warm heart, friendly nature, and genuine care for others. Though a private person, he loved to socialize and could easily make those around him feel welcome and appreciated. He was a devoted dog dad to Molly and Nikki, who brought endless joy to his days.
Steve took great pride in his home, pouring his creativity and effort into the endless challenge of achieving the perfect lawn. One of his greatest joys was spending time with his beloved granddaughter, Lily, creating memories she will cherish and that will live on forever.
He loved road trips, traveling back home Canada as well as other places in the states. Steve also had a witty sense of humor — especially when it came to his famous “Einstein” calculations of Hy-Vee fuel rewards, always convinced he had cracked the secret to cheap gas!
Steve is preceded in death by his mother, Geraldine (Gerri) Macpherson and sister Sheila Kensley. He is survived by his loving wife Liz Macpherson; his children Dillon (Becky) Macpherson; Kathy Macpherson; and Megan Green (Jacob), his father, Douglas, siblings, Gail (Bob) Mantle and Dan (Monica) Macpherson, his three grandchildren Kurby, Aubree and Lily as well as extended family and friends.
Steve’s kindness, humor, and love will be dearly missed by all who knew him. In lieu of flowers, you can make a donation of your choice in his name, plant a tree in his honor, or just hug your loved ones.
Thank you to his nurses and doctors at Liberty Hospital for their tireless care and endless kindness.
Services will be held in Camrose, AB Canada at a date to be determined.
