Steven Anthony Lee, 68, of the Kansas City Northland, passed away after a brief illness on June 21, 2023, at St. Luke’s Plaza Hospital with family at his side.
Steve was born November 4, 1954, in Kansas City, Missouri, the son of Charles A. and Marjorie J. (Summa) Lee. He graduated from Winnetonka High School in 1973. Steve was united in marriage to his high school sweetheart, Christine May Thompson, on September 1, 1973, and they are blessed with two children and seven grandchildren. Steve’s career with Hallmark Cards spanned more than 30 years prior to retirement in 2004.
Survivors include his wife of 49 years, Chris; his children, Heather Jenkins and Rick Lee (Lindsay); his grandchildren, Johnathin, Alyssa, Elizabeth, Tyler, Aiden, Mackenzie and Allison; brother, Hubert Lee (Brenda); nieces, Jan and Shana; as well as other family members and friends.
Visitation will begin at 2:00 pm, followed by a service celebrating Steve’s life at 3:00 pm, on Monday, June 26, at Park Lawn Northland Chapel, 1620 North State Route 291, Liberty, MO. The service will be officiated by Steve’s friend, Bro. Jack Emmite. Burial will follow at Glenridge Cemetery.
