Susan ArMinta Hunt Marcum, Lee's Summit, MO, rejoined her beloved husband, Daniel, on Thursday, August 14, 2025, at home surrounded by family.

She was born April 9, 1943, in Kansas City, MO, the cherished daughter of Harold and Wilma Barnett Hunt. She married the love of her life, Daniel W. Marcum, Sr., on December 19, 1964, at Holmeswood Baptist Church.

Susan was a graduate of Southeast High School class of 1961, where she met Daniel. On their first date he asked her to walk around the block but then carried her the entire way.

She was an amazing mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and wife. Susan had a deep, abiding love for God, Christmas, her family, Wolf (her cat), sparkles, frozen cokes, and Daniel. She greatly enjoyed her 30+ years as Team 1 Clerk at the University of Missouri- Kansas City School of Dentistry.

She is survived by her brother-in-law, Larry Whited, sister-in-law, Ann Bass, daughter, Rebecca (David) Parker, daughter, Kristina (Rich) Kempin, and son, Daniel (Linda) Marcum, Jr.; 6 grandchildren: Cierra (Justice), Jack (Kayla), Ainsley, Alyssa (Kolin), Natalie (Ethan), and Brad; and 5 great-grandchildren, with 2 on the way.

Her beloved Daniel, parents, sister Francine Whited, brother Glen Hunt, and infant son preceded her in death. She was a loving and cherished aunt. She was a treasured member of the 9am Legacy Community Water Aerobics group and Grace United Methodist Church.

Graveside services will be Noon, Monday, August 18, 2025, at Memorial Park Cemetery at Park Lawn Funeral Home, 8251 Hillcrest Road, Kansas City, MO. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to City Union Mission.
