Obituary

Terrence Clay Eskridge was born on May 24, 1956 in Hayti, Missouri to Willie James and Ella Beatrice Eskridge. His father preceded him in death.

Terrence was the second of five children and grew up surrounded by the love and energy of a large family. In 1961, his parents moved the family from Hayti, Missouri and settled in Kansas City, Missouri.

Terrence accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized by the  late Rev. A.M. Hudson of Progressive Missionary Baptist Church, located in Kansas City, Missouri.

He attended school in the Kansas City, Missouri school district and graduated from Central High School where he played football and ran track. Upon graduating, he received a football scholarship and went on to attend Fort Scott Community College in Fort Scott, Kansas.

After some evaluation in 1977, Terrence decided to leave college and join the United States Army. After proudly serving, he was honorably discharged in 1980 and settled back in Kansas City, Missouri where he remained until his death.

Terrence is survived by his mother, Ella B. Eskridge, sisters Deborah E. Jackson (Isaac Jackson), Marian A. Eskridge and Sharon L. Eskridge, one brother James Glen Eskridge, daughter LaTonya Williamson and grandson Domonic Doolin.
