It is with great sadness that the family of Wayne Jefferey Perry announces his peaceful passing on September 5th, 2025 at the age of 68.
Wayne was born May 1st, 1957 in Kansas City, Missouri; one of five children to the late Floyd H. Perry Sr. and Geraldine Robinson Perry. He graduated from Lincoln High School and went on to complete his training at the police academy. Wayne enlisted in the Marine Corp where he served his country for four years in Okinawa,Japan. Later, he settled in Kansas City, Missouri where he worked for the ammunition plant as a high explosives mixer for thirty years. Wayne also joined their gun club receiving multiple trophies to add to the list of accomplishments. His dedication to his career instilled a strong work ethic in his children.
Whether it's a new sight to see, an arsenal of fireworks for the neighborhood, coaching sports, or the best steakhouse in the city; Wayne has always loved spending time with his children, family, and friends. His passion for board games and Bruce Lee began in his youth; it has been a source of joy throughout his life. Wayne's love and 30 years of dedication to his passion for martial arts is unmatched; earning his third-degree black belt in Aikido alongside Sensei Paul Chang.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brothers,Floyd Henry Perry Jr, Darthard Edward Maurice Perry; and sister Robin Renee Greathouse.
He is survived by one brother, Cornell Perry Sr.; three children, Wanda Reese, Reggie Reese, LaCinda Reese; four grandchildren, Royal Smith, Malachi Reese, Aviyonne Collier, LaReina Reese; Cousins, Marc Berry, Glenn Berry, Anita Berry; Nieces, Nephews; along with many other family and friends who will sadly miss him.
