W.C. "Bill" Patterson

          Willis Clark “Bill” Patterson, 84, a longtime resident of Liberty, MO, passed away August 23, 2023, at Liberty Hospital.

          Bill was born July 25, 1939, in Lamar, MO, the son of Roy and Hazel (Flemming) Patterson.  He graduated from Lamar High School and served in the Missouri National Guard. Bill was united in marriage to Mary K. Buckles on June 25, 1966, at St. John’s Methodist Church in Kansas City.  They were blessed with three sons. His career at the Ford Motor Company spanned more than 40 years when he retired from truck assembly in 2004. 

          Along with his parents, Bill was preceded in death by his wife of 56 years, Mary, on May 28, 2023.  Survivors include his three sons, Richard C. Patterson (Michelle), William D. Patterson and Robert D. Patterson; and grandchildren, Alexander Patterson and Margaret Patterson.
