Wesley J. Phillilps

Wesley J. Phillips , 89, went to be with the Lord Monday, April 28, 2025 at Avent Health in Merriam, Kansas.

Wesley was born March 15, 1936, in Dallas, Texas the son of Jewett and Sallie Davis Phillips. Wesley was a printing press mechanic. Traveling around the world maintaining and repairing printing presses for Heidelberg Printing Press Company.

He was a Deacon at the Charity Baptist Church Hazel Green, AL. He was an avid reader and enjoyed sharing many stories from his worldly travels.

Wesley married Mary Seagraves on April 14, 1964. She preceded him in death December 5, 2022. He was also preceded in death by his son Terry Phillips, his daughter Theresa Phillips, and siblings Bob Phillips and Rachel Smith.

He is survived by his children, Thomas (Elander) Phillips, Kansas City, MO, Gail Phillips, Hot Springs, AR, Tammy (Ken) McGuire, Hazel Green, AL. 8 Grandchildren, 13 Great Grandchildren, 2 Great Great Grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be in Hazel Green, AL where the interment will be in the New Sharon Cemetery, Hazel Green, Al.
