William Glen Lawrence
August 25, 1949 – July 2, 2025
William “Bill” Glen Lawrence, 75, of Kansas City, Missouri, passed away peacefully at home on July 2, 2025.
Born on August 25, 1949, and raised in Kansas City, Bill graduated from Center High School in 1967 and went on to serve in the Marine Reserves. He spent much of his career as a heavy machine operator and later as a car wholesaler. Known for his hardworking nature and sharp sense of humor, Bill was a loyal friend, a dedicated father, and a proud grandfather and great-grandfather.
Bill had a deep love for the game of golf and was out on the course playing with friends on the very day he passed. He lived his life with quiet strength, a generous heart, and a love for simple joys—his family, his friends, and a good day on the greens.
He is survived by his daughters, Lori East of Snook, Texas, and Jaime Masenthin (Allen) of Peculiar, Missouri; nine grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his son, Corey Lawrence (2021); his parents, Bernice E. Young-Lawrence (2010) and James E. Lawrence (2011); and his brother, James “Mike” Lawrence (2006).
Bill shared his life and raised his children with his ex-wife, Jackie Lawrence, the mother of Lori, Corey, and Jaime.
An intimate burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 19, 2025, at Park Lawn Cemetery in Kansas City, Missouri. A Celebration of Life service will follow at 11:30 a.m., with a reception from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. at The Beloved Community of First Baptist Church, 100 W. Red Bridge Road, Kansas City, Missouri 64114.
Bill’s family finds comfort in knowing he is now reunited with his beloved son Corey—and likely already enjoying a round of golf with him on Heaven’s course.
