June 9, 1943 – March 10, 2025

William (Bill) Theren Tucker, 81, of Raytown, Missouri, passed away on Monday, March 10, 2025, after a courageous battle with Lewy body dementia and Parkinson's disease.

Born on June 9, 1943, in Independence, Missouri, Bill was the son of the late Buford and Katherine Tucker. He married Patricia Riley on August 3, 1962, and together they built a life rooted in love, family, and faith.

Bill dedicated more than 35 years of his career to Armco Steel, where he worked as an inspector. Even after retirement, he continued to contribute through various other jobs, always exemplifying dedication, persistence, and a strong work ethic.

A kind and caring man, Bill touched the lives of everyone who knew him. His life was filled with love, kindness, and unwavering faith in God. He cherished memorable trips to Hawaii and Alaska and treasured every moment spent with his family. One of his favorite Bible verses was 1 Corinthians 13:13: “Three things will last forever—faith, hope, and love—and the greatest of these is love.”

Bill is survived by his beloved wife of over 62 years, Patricia; his sons and daughters-in-law: W. Troy Tucker (Linda) of Port Charlotte, Florida; Michael Tucker (Cheryle) of Arlington, Virginia; and Todd Tucker (Lori) of Kansas City, Missouri. He is also survived by his brother and sister-in-law, Tom and Ruth Tucker of Independence, Missouri; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his sister, Lois Cox.

A celebration of Bill’s life will be held on Saturday, June 28, 2025, from 1:00 to 3:00 PM at Park Lawn Funeral Home in Kansas City, Missouri.

Bill will be remembered for his loving heart, strong spirit, and the legacy of faith and family he leaves behind.
